It all comes down to the ships....
MEDI Peace Class Standby Rescue/Survey/OSV/Trawlers
Vessels currently used within the Standby Rescue or even Commercial Fishing environments could be modified to provided limited, but timely response to such catastrophes as hurricanes, disease, and regional conflicts where medical facilites might be damaged or otherwise unavailable.
MEDI Response Class Trawlers, survey vessels, and certain offshore supply vessels could be adapted to provide material support to regions devastated by hurricanes, wars, and volcanoes. Their crane capacity and storage allows them to bring vast amounts of supplies into affected regions as well as provide a means of evacuation. Their stability and seaworthiness also allows them to be stationed in more remote regions of the globe.
MEDI Recovery Class The vast majority of these vessels will be stationed within the Caribbean where the dominant afflicttion is hurricanes. Along with medical supplies and staff personnel, these ships will provide water to the smaller islands where sanitation may be at a premium. When major disasters occur, several of these ships will be sent to the target area to provide onboard medical facilities for local and enroute medical personnel.
MEDI Vigilance Class Newbuildings
Every now and then, an event happens that is beyond the scope of any medical response plan. For communities that reside along the ocean, the sea itself may be the only avenue of rescue, response, or evacuation. Fleets of small ships may not be the answer, however, and therefore the construction of larger, state-of-the-art, purpose built vessels are required.
MEDI Courtesy Class Not merely medical response vessels, these floating hospitals will provide onboard surgical facilites and staff, helicopters, and laboratories which will provide primary care services for regions suffering the most damage from natural or manmade catastrophes. They will also remain at sea far longer than their smaller cousins, provding a quicker response to casualities within their zone of operation.

Each prospect vessel will be analyzed to its merits, and how it may be included into the MEDI+SHIPS Fleet. With the advent of modern communications technology, just about any vessel can be adapted to service, and indeed, a whole fleet of auxiliary vessels -- ships that trade in other activities -- are planned that may provide additional services, such as resupplying MEDI+SHIPS vessels on deployment.

"It's all about what vessels we locate and the supplier team that we assemble. The desire to serve is strong, but not widespread. However, with the assistance of our approved suppliers and God, we can achieve the goals that we have set forth. To not do anything wastes the value that we have placed within our own business practices." R.J. Godlewski
